Marriage Quotes from the Bible
Marriage is so easy, right? I’m just kidding. I know how hard marriage is and I know that it takes a lot of hard work to make a marriage great. That is why I thought I would give you a fun little break with these marriage quotes.
I searched online, well, actually I searched Pinterest to find some great verses from the Bible that remind us how important love is. They are also a great reminder of what love is and just why God gave us someone special to share our life with.
Ruth is really talking to her mother-in-law here, but I feel like this applies so well to marriage. Marriages have broken up because of in-laws not be accepting enough. I also know marriages that have broken up because a move needed to take place and one spouse refused to go.
1 Corinthians 13:8
If you love your husband enough to want to spend the rest of your life with him, then you should love him enough to get through any hardship.
God made you and your husband one on your wedding day. Marriage is not about two separate people, but about one new entity that just happens to be made up of two people.
1 John 4:19
God is love and to truly know the whole encompassing thing that is “love” we must know Him.
A man takes a bride and loves her just as Christ loves the church. This is a wonderful example of how we are to treat each other. Forgive your husband and show him the grace that God gives us each and every day.
If God is the third partner in your marriage, then you are strong enough to get through anything. If you instead try to do it on your own, you will fall.
I really do love this quote. It gives us such a perfect line from a perfect love story.
This quote tells us that, although your family is important, the needs of your spouse should come first.
Song of Solomon 3:4
When you find the man that will become your husband, or who is your husband, don’t let go of him and don’t let him think that you want to.
2 Corinthians 13:12
This quote reminds us that physical intimacy is just as important as any other aspect of our marriage. Make sure you kiss your husband every day if you can.
Song of Solomon 6:3
I am his one and only and he is mine.
1 Corinthians 13:7
Yes, true love does all of that.
Again, kiss your husband (or, send him a cute little kiss emoji text).
How did I do?
