I’m A Christian Mama
trying my best to live God’s way.
Welcome to Hands-on Mama.
I am a born again, Christian who just so happened to meet and marry the most amazing man while serving my country in the Air Force. So, yes, I am a vetern. My husband and I have two beautiful kiddos who we have been homeschooling for eleven years now.
I became a stay-at-home-mama immediately after getting out of the Air Force. At that time I was eight months prengant with my oldest, my son, and I was seriously nesting badly. Six years later and my second, my precious daughter, came along. I have experienced all of the ups and downs of staying at home with my children.
Being at stay-at-home-mama is not an easy job. Yet, we are often ashamed to tell others that we are one. The shame society puts on women who refuse to play the game of “having it all” is very damaging to the family unit. We should not be ashamed of the sacrifice we make for our children & our family. It is a noble choice.
There are many other daily struggles that stay-at-home-mamas face, as well. That is why I am here. I am hoping to help you beat the chaos of your day-to-day lives and live the life God has planned for you. This includes tips & tricks that I may use or am learning along with you. I intend to share what has helped me and what I am excited to try.
This blog will also include information from my friends and family members in areas that I might not be the mose expierenced in. After all, we are all here to help each other, right? I am also open to any ideas, suggestions, or even questions you might have. I love to learn and explore, and who knows, you just mightinspire a future blog post or even help me write one in the future.
Some Fun Facts
I am a super fan of a few Sci-fi shows, but that does not mean that I like all things Sci-fi. I don’t.
My favorite actor EVER just happens to be Jimmy Stewart. I watch his movies over and over again and love them all.
I hate all things pumpkin spice. I am also disappointed that Autumn has turned into the pumpkin spice season.
